Product & AvailabilityProduct models
License is a one-time purchase without source code and permits perpetual internal use. It includes the first three months of Updates, with optional continuation as a License-only add-on. License Plus is a one-time purchase with source code and internal-modification rights; the purchaser manages updates and security. Updates is not a third product plan, and License Plus is not eligible.
License & Internal UseLicense basics
The planned one-time price is a $349 USD candidate. Source code is not included. The plan permits perpetual internal use and includes the first three months of Updates-equivalent service at no additional charge. It does not automatically convert into paid Updates. All USD figures are unapproved candidates pending final international pricing.
License & Internal UseLicense basics
The planned one-time price is a $699 USD candidate. It is planned to include perpetual internal use, full source, internal-modification rights, technical documentation, and customer-server/self-hosted operation for the purchasing legal entity. It has no Updates entitlement; the purchaser manages updates and security. All USD figures are unapproved candidates pending final international pricing.
License & Internal UseLicense basics
The current two-product model does not define a price-difference upgrade from License to License Plus. License Plus is planned as a separate purchase. Final terms will be presented before formal sales.
License & Internal UseLicense basics
No. The License has a $349 USD candidate price and does not include source code. Customers that need full source, technical documentation, self-hosted operation, and internal-modification rights should choose License Plus at the $699 USD candidate price. Both plans permit perpetual internal use by the purchasing legal entity. All USD figures are unapproved candidates.
License & Internal UseLicense basics
License Plus is planned to allow source-code inspection, editing, modification, internal feature development, integration with internal systems, and internal use of modified versions by the purchasing legal entity. License does not include source code. Modification rights do not include resale, redistribution, or sublicensing rights.
License & Internal UseEntity & devices
Generally no. License and License Plus are each planned for one purchasing legal entity. Parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, and other separate legal entities generally require separate purchases.
License & Internal UseLicense basics
License includes three months of Updates, during which FDE provides functionality, security, compatibility, and bug-fix updates. Optional continuation is a $31/month USD candidate for months 4–6 and $62/month from month 7. When Updates is inactive, the customer manages updates and security. There is no automatic paid conversion, and License Plus is not eligible for the add-on. All USD figures are unapproved candidates pending final international pricing.
No. Neither License nor License Plus includes the right to sell or resell the original or a modified version of IMS to third parties. Use rights are limited to the purchasing legal entity’s internal operations.
Restrictions & RedistributionThird-party services
No. Neither License nor License Plus includes the right to offer IMS itself to third parties as SaaS, ASP, hosting, software rental, a service bureau, or a similar service.
Updates & MaintenanceUpdates basics
Months 1–3 are included with License. Optional continuation is a $31/month USD candidate for months 4–6 and $62/month from month 7. Updates is a License-only add-on; it cannot be purchased alone or added to License Plus. It never starts automatically, and all USD figures are unapproved candidates pending final international pricing.
Ordering & EULAFormal purchase
Formal orders are planned to show the selected product, price, purchasing legal entity, product version at purchase, usage term, whether source code is included, any License Updates add-on, and the applicable License Agreement / EULA. License provides perpetual use without source code, while License Plus provides perpetual use with source code and internal-modification rights.
Product & AdoptionAdoption
IMS is being designed for small businesses moving from paper or spreadsheets, or reviewing an existing inventory system. Product fit can be discussed now, but data-import formats, migration services, and final deployment support are not yet confirmed.
Updates & MaintenanceUpdates basics
License includes the first three months of Updates. Optional continuation is a $31/month USD candidate for months 4–6 and a $62/month USD candidate from month 7. Customers can keep using the version purchased without continuing Updates. Updates never starts automatically, and all USD figures are unapproved candidates pending final international pricing. The first six months after purchase (three free months and three months at half price) are excluded from the period used to earn continuing-use rights. After that, every six consecutive months of an uninterrupted Updates subscription earns the right to continue using the version at that milestone after the subscription ends. With no interruption, the milestones are 12, 18, 24 months after purchase, and so on. This continuing-use right does not automatically extend to the latest version at the end of the subscription. After the subscription ends, you can use the version purchased and the versions for which you obtained continuing-use rights at these milestones. If the subscription ends before you earn new continuing-use rights for that period, you can then use only the version purchased and versions for which you previously earned continuing-use rights. If you end the subscription at or after the six-month point following purchase and then subscribe again, you earn continuing-use rights for the version at each new milestone of six consecutive months from resubscribing. Time from previous subscriptions is not added. You retain the continuing-use rights you previously earned.
Updates & MaintenanceUpdates basics
When the Updates subscription ends, FDE stops providing new updates. The purchased perpetual License remains valid for internal use of the version purchased, without source code. Updates and security are then customer-managed. The first six months after purchase (three free months and three months at half price) are excluded from the period used to earn continuing-use rights. Updates & MaintenanceUpdates basics
No. Updates is a License-only add-on and cannot be purchased on its own. License Plus is not eligible. Ending Updates does not remove the purchased License or internal use of the version purchased. The first six months after purchase (three free months and three months at half price) are excluded from the period used to earn continuing-use rights. Product & AvailabilityDevelopment status
IMS is being developed as desktop-first, local-first business software intended to support inventory-related operations for small companies. The completed feature set is still under development, so this FAQ does not guarantee features that have not been formally finalized.
Product & AvailabilityDevelopment status
No. The current demo is a sample used to review the intended operating experience of the IMS under development. It does not represent a released product version, completed feature set, update history, security track record or delivery record. The website is available in English, Japanese and Simplified Chinese. The initial native app targets English and Japanese UI only; Chinese on the website does not imply Chinese support in the native app.
License & Internal UseLicense basics
Yes. License is designed to permit perpetual internal use by the purchasing legal entity, with no mandatory monthly subscription for basic use. Final conditions will be defined in the License Agreement / EULA before formal sales.
License & Internal UseExternal developers
License Plus is planned to permit necessary source-code disclosure to external developers working on the purchasing entity’s internal development, modification, or maintenance. The customer must enforce confidentiality, no reuse in other projects, and no resale or redistribution. License does not include source code and is not covered by this permission.
License & Internal UseEntity & devices
License and License Plus are for the purchasing legal entity’s internal business use. The initial native release targets an Apple M2-or-later Mac, with Host and Client on that same Mac. Supported models and macOS versions will be confirmed after device testing and must meet each model’s minimum OS requirement. Multiple-Mac LAN access is outside the initial release; the later update has no confirmed date. Device permissions will be defined in the final EULA and are separate from technical connection and synchronization support.
License & Internal UseLicense basics
Yes. Backups necessary to support the purchasing entity’s internal use are planned to be permitted. Copies made for third-party distribution are not permitted. This permission does not mean an app restore function is already available. Restore and recovery are not available in the current development build. Paid sales will begin only after the customer restore method is completed and verified.
License & Internal UseEntity & devices
Internal use by the purchasing legal entity is planned. The first release uses Host and Client on the same Mac. Multiple-Mac LAN access, synchronization and cross-site connections are outside the initial release; no date is confirmed for the later update. Managing warehouse or location records on one Mac is separate from connecting and synchronizing multiple devices. Final supported environments and license terms will be presented before sales open. Separate legal entities generally require separate purchases.
No. Redistribution of installers, product files, or the source code supplied with License Plus is planned to be prohibited. License Plus source code may be disclosed to external contractors only as needed for internal modification and subject to the applicable license conditions.
No. Publishing License Plus source code to public GitHub repositories, websites, social media, public file shares, communities, public servers, or other locations accessible to third parties is planned to be prohibited.
Unauthorized transfer is prohibited. License and License Plus rights are granted to the purchasing legal entity, and any transfer to another entity or third party is subject to the final EULA.
No. Neither License nor License Plus allows the purchasing company to independently grant third parties the right to use IMS.
Restrictions & RedistributionThird-party services
Yes. Using IMS internally for operations such as inventory management while selling your own ordinary products or services to customers is planned to be permitted. The restriction concerns providing the IMS itself for third-party use.
Updates & MaintenanceUpdates basics
No. Updates does not include source-code delivery. Customers that need source code and internal-modification rights should choose License Plus.

Updates is being designed so FDE manages ongoing functionality, security and compatibility updates during the subscription term. Specific update frequency, versioning, SLA and track record are not yet established.
Rights, AI & Third PartiesIP & notices
License Plus is not planned to categorically prohibit changing the FDE logo, name, or UI for internal use. Copyright, license, rights, and third-party notices in the source must be appropriately retained. License does not include source code.
Rights, AI & Third PartiesIP & notices
No. Even when UI or other modifications are made under License Plus, the purchasing company may not falsely claim that the original IMS was independently developed by it.
Rights, AI & Third PartiesAI use
For internal modification under License Plus, the planned policy permits AI coding tools whose settings or contract prevent submitted code from being used for third-party model training. IMS code may not be used for model training, fine-tuning, third-party training, public datasets, or training intended to reproduce a similar product.
Rights, AI & Third PartiesOSS & third parties
FDE-developed portions are planned to be governed by the FDE License, while OSS and third-party software remain subject to their respective license terms. The specific component set will be finalized as the product is completed.
Ordering & EULALicense Agreement / EULA
Yes. Formal online sales are planned to require the customer to review the License Agreement / EULA and actively agree before purchase confirmation. The current License page is a product-policy summary, not the final legal agreement.
